Hi just come back from Galini, this was our first time back since we married 10years ago in the village.We would all like to send our best wishes to everyone in the village, it felt like we had never been away, our kids Theo(2) & Sophia(8). We would like to thank everyone in galini for some great memories. Thanks to George, Margret, Junior Cassie & Margrita from the Tropica it was great to meet up again. Cheers to Nikos & Ariane at Kostas, & thanks to John & Jayne for making the last few days of our holiday a time to remember sophia really enjoyed the walk to the next village. We hope to return again soon & hope that all the Cretans/Germans/Dutch/French/English & all Galini visitors sign petition & make our voices heard against the container port.

Hello Wim You cant only forget the view to Matala, You can even forget the whole south of crete. 50 huge Container Ships every day will lead to so much noise, mud, pollution that nobody will come volunteerly to the messara bay.

Mind you, if this unholy plan is going to be executed you can forget about the beautiful view down to Matala from your beach chair.......The huge container ships will spoil your view eternally....SO SIGN THE PETITION

I'm excited of that small , but really nice and full of peace town. I was there on my holiday , only one week, and that's why I regreet- that was too short time. I'd like to say hello to all Agia Galini. I hope to see you next year.

In a few weeks we will be back in Galini again.Nice and homely to meet friends living there and other veteran-visitors.For me, its a jubileum this year, 30 years since my first visit in Agia Galini. Both the village and I seem in a way not to have changed in these 30 years, but I guess thats quite an illusion... C u soon, hometown. L&P Abi
